As part of a group limited to only 50 copies limited series, this timepiece combines the classic aesthetics of the Portugieser line with the complexity of a Grande Complication. The case made of 750 red gold houses one of the most sophisticated mechanical assemblies in watchmaking. The integration of perpetual calendar, minute repeater and chronograph in a case of 45 mm diameter underlines the technical superiority of this model. Caliber & Details The highly complex Caliber 79091 operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and has a 44 hours power reserve. It comprises 659 individual parts and features a perpetual calendar that precisely displays the date, the day of the week, the month, the year in four digits and the moon phase up to the year 2499. The minute repeater is activated by a slider on the side of the case. Each movement undergoes an elaborate finishing process with Perlage and Geneva strip on the bridges and polished Chamfers. Case & Construction The solid case made of 18 carat red gold impresses with its accurate Anglage and perfectly polished surfaces that contrast with the satin-finished flanks. With a Water resistance from 3 bar the construction is primarily designed to protect the acoustic components of the repeater. The back features an engraving of the classic sextant depiction, citing the maritime history of the collection. The 45 mm The large cabinet size ensures the necessary resonance volume for the pure sound of the gongs. Aesthetics & Readability The silver-plated dial of the IW377402 structures the wealth of information with a clear arrangement of the totalizers. The applied Arabic numerals and the characteristic feuille hands made of Red gold harmonize with the warm tone of the precious metal.
